About the film

What it’s about

Sasaki is an overworked office worker whose life is a loop of home, work, and back. His only bright spot is the cheerful smile of Yamada, a young cashier at a nearby 24-hour supermarket. After every tiring day, he stops by just to see her. One night, after a grueling shift, he arrives late and Yamada is nowhere to be found. With no place to smoke and his spirits low, a pierced young woman calls out to him, offering a spot behind the store.
