According to Owen Dennis, the series' director, writer, and producer, each season of the project is essentially a morality play (a special type of performance where the characters are not people but abstract concepts), whose goal is to help the viewer solve their own problems and learn to appreciate life.

According to Dennis, an entire scene was cut from the episode "The Party Car" in season 4, in which Ryan leaves to have fun, leaving Min under the table, where he tried to take on a different form, but then the table turns into Alan Dracula, and Min, in his underwear, ends up among people.

After Warner Bros. merged with Discovery in 2022, «Infinity Train» became one of many projects that were removed from the HBO Max streaming service without any warning. Much was also removed from YouTube, the social network X, and music platforms. Owen Dennis called what happened «unprofessional and rude bullshit». A few days after this move, the series was already at the top of the audience favorites list on iTunes, DVDs with the series were selling at Walmart, Amazon, and Best Buy, and DVD prices on eBay literally skyrocketed. Fans uploaded all four seasons and a significant portion of the videos removed from YouTube to Google Drive cloud storage.

The series would have consisted of 8 seasons (and the number 8 laid on its side means infinity). There were also plans to make a special Christmas episode of the franchise, as well as to touch on themes of inter-dimensional connections, harmful addictions, childbirth, relationships, consent, and transgenerational trauma (a psychological trauma formed across generations of family members as a result of exposure to traumatic events and circumstances and passed on to descendants).
