Subaru Natsuki, an ordinary high school student, is on his way home from a convenience store when he is suddenly transported to another world. Lost and confused, he is attacked by thugs but saved by a beautiful girl with silver hair and her cat-like companion. To repay her, he agrees to help find something stolen from her. Yet when they uncover a clue, both are killed. Subaru awakens back at the moment he arrived, discovering he can return to the past after death.
