What it’s about
In 1374, while the Northern and Southern Courts remain locked in conflict, a boy named Oniyasha is born to a family of sarugaku performers. He grows up in quiet gloom, unable to grasp why people dance at all. His father Kan'ami runs the Kanze troupe, yet Oniyasha feels no pull toward the stage. One day he happens to see a dance that strikes him as truly good, and his indifference starts to crack.
