What it’s about

The body of eighteen-year-old Anna Pittnerová is found by a river in a small northern town, brutally cut in a way that suggests a ritual killing. Criminalist Laura Linhartová takes on the case, joined by her former colleague Adam Beneš, with whom she shares a difficult history. A local repeat offender, recently released from prison, becomes the main suspect, and the investigation seems close to a conclusion. Then new evidence surfaces and the case unravels, widening the circle of suspects and forcing Laura and Adam to confront both the town's secrets and their own strained relationship.
