What it’s about

Alan Pinkerton runs a private detective agency, the first of its kind in America. His agents take on cases that the law cannot solve, using new methods and taking risks. Their main target becomes Jesse James, one of the most wanted criminals of the time. The hunt leads to Clay County, where James's family lives. The detectives plan to use deception to get close, but the outlaw's mother becomes central to the trap. The agents must keep their cover while closing in.
