What it’s about

Filo's dog Birillo, a gift from his late mother, disappears in the woods during a violent storm. The boy cannot accept the loss and decides to find the animal no matter what. His best friend Rullo joins him, and together they set out into the mountains. Along the way, they must overcome their fear of the dark and deal with the gruff mountaineer Guelfo Tabacci, who may be involved in the dog's disappearance. What begins as a search for a beloved pet turns into a test of courage and friendship, with more at stake than they imagined.
