Hugo 24

What it’s about

Hugo is 23 and still drifting. As his 24th birthday nears, he has no job and no clear direction. A chance at a position with a real estate agency tempts him: it would mean wearing a suit, a link to the father he lost. But his mother is in prison, his girlfriend is pulling away, and his landlord demands he leave within a day. The countdown pushes him to finally face adult life.

What hooks you

Arón Piper plays Hugo, a role that leans into his brooding screen presence. Luc Knowles directs from his own script, keeping the focus tight on one man's crisis.

Who it’s for

It is worth a look for anyone who likes intimate character studies about growing up late and the fear of being left alone.
