What it’s about

Cole Reed once served in special forces and the police; now he protects Tibu Campallo, owner of shipping giant KMG. In Bangkok, on the eve of a company sale, an attack involving local police leaves Campallo dead and Reed the prime suspect. Fleeing the law, he decides to find the masterminds himself. Posing as one of the dead attackers, he boards a KMG cargo vessel, where he discovers people locked in a container. Choosing to defend them, he comes up against the ship's armed crew.

What hooks you

Jason Statham plays Reed, with Annabelle Wallis as Angie Ellis and Roland Møller as Captain Marko Madsen. The film comes from director Jean-François Richet, known for hard-edged action, and Statham also serves as producer.

It is a good pick for those who like a lone fighter taking on corrupt forces in tight, brutal action, and for viewers drawn to revenge plots with a conspiracy underneath.
