About the film

What it’s about

Ren Jiqing, a former weightlifting coach, is losing his memory to Alzheimer's. He mistakes his tenant, Zhong Bufan, a young man from a small town, for the son who left years ago. Zhong and a motley group of neighbours decide to pretend they are his relatives, recreating a family moment for him. What they discover isn't what they expect, about themselves and about the old man's past.

What hooks you

Jackie Chan plays Ren Jiqing, and Peng Yuchang plays Zhong Bufan. Director Li Taiyan also wrote the script. The film's premise of strangers becoming family through a shared act of kindness offers a warm, human drama.
