About the film

Is love really all you need?

What it’s about

Eva has just turned fifty, has been married for over twenty years, and has two teenage children. On a business trip to Rome she meets Álex, a scriptwriter spending a few days in the city. The instant attraction between them, the butterflies in her stomach, and the seductive hint of possibility remind her what it feels like to fall in love. It reignites a fire that had long been extinguished and shifts something inside her.

What hooks you

Nora Navas and Rodrigo de la Serna play Eva and Álex. The film won the Dunia Ayaso Award at San Sebastián in 2025. Cesc Gay directs from a script he wrote with Eduard Sola.

Who it’s for

It will appeal to those who like quiet dramas about late-life desire and the way a single meeting can unsettle a settled life.
