What it’s about
In 19th-century England, villagers kill Count Mitterhouse, a vampire who preyed on their children. With his last breath he curses them, promising that the blood of their offspring will restore him. Fifteen years later, plague strikes the village, and a circus arrives. Its acts include a panther that becomes a man and bats that turn into acrobats. The performers are the count's mistress, children and cousins, and they have come to fulfil his dying words.
