About the film
What it’s about
Filip turns 45 and invites his closest friends to celebrate at the lavish farm estate he and his wife have just bought in northern Sweden. They arrive expecting a relaxed evening, but a ferocious storm sweeps in and cuts them off from the outside world. As the weather worsens, the group is trapped together with no way to leave. The pressure of confinement and the howling wind begin to strip away their careful social masks, exposing old tensions and hidden resentments. What starts as a cheerful reunion turns into a test of endurance, where every small irritation is magnified and the polished acts they have maintained for years start to crumble.
What hooks you
Josephine Bornebusch directs and stars as Kina, alongside Gustaf Skarsgård as Filip and Aliette Opheim as Caroline. Its premise of a storm forcing a group of friends into a confined space promises a sharp, uncomfortable comedy.
Who it’s for
It is a good pick for those who like comedy that thrives on awkward social situations and the slow unraveling of a group under pressure.
