What it’s about
Andre Davis is an NYPD detective with a high case-closure rate, but he is under internal investigation. After a robbery on Manhattan leaves seven police officers dead, Davis is brought in to lead the manhunt. His first order is to close all exits from the island, including 21 bridges, giving him only one night to find the two criminals.
What hooks you
Chadwick Boseman plays Andre Davis, and Sienna Miller appears as Frankie Burns. The film comes from the producers of "The Avengers" and the director of "Game of Thrones" episodes. Boseman gave part of his own salary to Miller after the studio refused her requested fee.
Who it’s for
It is a good pick for those who like tense urban thrillers where the lines between hunter and hunted blur. It will appeal to viewers drawn to stories of police corruption, overnight manhunts, and a city sealed off from the outside world.
