Trivia

  1. Filming took place from January 21 to July 30, 2024. The shooting process had to be interrupted for two and a half months due to actor Benicio Del Toro's work on the film "The Phoenician Scheme" from March to June.
  2. Director, screenwriter and producer Paul Thomas Anderson began working on the script about twenty years ago, planning an action film with a large number of car chases, kept taking breaks, but every 2-3 years returned to the unfinished script. Somewhere in the early 2000s, he planned to make a film based on Thomas Pynchon's novel Vineland (1990), whose plot unfolded in the 1960s, and this led him to reflect on how the novel's ideas could be reinterpreted after several decades. At the same time, he had the idea of a revolutionary heroine. These considerations remained at the center of his creative process for many years. Over time, Anderson decided that the idea of a literal adaptation of the novel should be abandoned, but he kept in the script the elements of the novel that had especially moved him and supplemented them with the results of his own reflections.
  3. The French 75 is the name of a cocktail that includes gin, champagne, lemon juice and sugar. It is said that the cocktail was named after the French 75 mm gun used in both world wars.
