About the film
What it’s about
Veera Kaur, a spirited young woman from a small Punjabi village, plays cricket better than any local man but is barred from the team because of her gender. When Rohan Singh, an accomplished captain from England, returns to lead his father's struggling side, Veera adopts a turban and beard to become Veer Pratap Singh and win a place on the squad.
What hooks you
Shahid Kapoor plays Rohan Singh, the returning captain, and Rani Mukerji plays Veera Kaur, who takes on the male identity of Veer Pratap Singh. Anupam Kher appears as Vikram Singh, the team's owner. The film is a remake of the comedy 'She's the Man', and its tagline promises a mix of song, dance, bat and bowl.
Who it’s for
It suits viewers who enjoy light-hearted sports comedies with a gender-bending twist and a dose of Punjabi energy.
