- At the beginning of the film, while fleeing pursuit in the CIA building, Salt kicks off her shoes on one of the staircases, and they land almost on top of each other. In the next shot, when she is being tracked on the monitors, the shoes are at least half a meter apart.
- Tom Cruise was originally expected to star in the film, but he was replaced by Jolie. After that, the screenplay was rewritten.
