About the film
What it’s about
When a water line break shuts Temple Beth Am, the congregation accepts an invitation to hold Hanukkah at St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church. The last night of Hanukkah falls on Christmas Eve, so both communities must share the space. Nikki, a substitute youth choir director, and Josh, the church’s choir director, are pushed together to coordinate the event despite their history as high school rivals.
What hooks you
Paula Elle directs Brooke D'Orsay as Nikki and Jake Epstein as Josh, with David Julian Hirsh playing Rabbi Levi Cohen. The cast also includes Haven Gin, Juliette Hawk, and Harrison Coe.
Who it’s for
It is a good pick for those who like warm, character-driven dramas about community and reconciliation, with a holiday backdrop that mixes faith traditions and a touch of old rivalry.
