About the film

A tale of good and evil.

What it’s about

Samuel Murphy is separated from his daughter and sent to a harsh prison. Warden Clancy offers him a chance at freedom: join a crew of convicts to smuggle gold from a distant mine. Murphy accepts, but the men he travels with cannot be trusted, and the deeper they go, the more greed weighs on them.

What hooks you

Ethan Hawke plays Murphy, with Russell Crowe as Warden Clancy. The film is set in 1930s Oregon during the Great Depression, drawing on themes of war veterans, man against nature, and the bond between a father and his daughter.

Who it’s for

It will appeal to those who like crime dramas where trust is scarce and every deal has a hidden cost. It will also suit viewers drawn to harsh landscapes and stories of survival under pressure.
