  1. Robert Downey Jr. was previously considered for the role of Victor von Doom in the 2005 film "Fantastic Four."

  2. Due to his work on this film, Robert Downey Jr. had to turn down the role of Poseidon in Christopher Nolan's film "The Odyssey."

  3. Initially, the film was planned to be titled "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty," and it was supposed to feature Kang the Conqueror from the sci-fi action film "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" (Peyton Reed, 2023), played by Jonathan Majors. It so happened that in the same year, Majors' ex-girlfriend filed accusations against him, so in 2024, Marvel replaced the antagonist from Kang to Victor von Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr., and renamed the film "Avengers: Doomsday."

  4. Robert Downey Jr. was supposed to play the doctor in Tim Story's "Fantastic Four." Due to his busy schedule, he had to decline the offer to star in Christopher Nolan's fantasy action film "The Odyssey" (2026).
