What it’s about

Tyler and Maddie leave their old life behind and set out on the road in a van. Weeks later, they come upon a nighttime crash and stop to help, but the driver dies. Soon after, a strange mark appears on their vehicle, and a dark figure begins to follow them wherever they go.

André Øvredal directs Lou Llobell as Maddie and Jacob Scipio as Tyler, with Melissa Leo also in the cast. Some scenes were shot at a real festival in Washington state, using actual vendors and van owners as extras.

  1. Some scenes with the van were filmed in two locations in Washington State. Van owners were used as extras. During the filming of the festival in the town of Enumclaw, actual festival participants who were genuinely engaged in trade were used.
