The film's shooting period is from March to June 13, 2025.

Filming took place in the city of Tangjin.

In many interviews, director and screenwriter Yeon Sang-ho admitted that he wanted to show humanity's fear of artificial intelligence and loss of individuality in this film.

Actor Choi Woo-jin, who played Song Yong-chul as a teenager, looked so much like actor Koo Kyo-hwan (who played the adult character) in his childhood that a theory spread on the Korean internet that the younger version of the character was created using neural networks.

According to director and screenwriter Yeon Sang-ho, the main sources of inspiration for creating the protagonist (Jung Ji-hyun) were the characters Amuro Ray from the anime Mobile Suit Gundam and Shinji Ikari from the anime Evangelion.

Yeon Sang-ho invited choreographers specializing in avant-garde dance and tasked them with creating zombie movements that would not be identical but would be coordinated. As an example, he cited the movements of ten fingers playing a piano — all fingers move differently but serve a common goal.
