About the film
What it’s about
Petya is a chef nearing forty, with little to show for it and a family that does not respect him. While visiting his parents' cottage, he finds a box of old toys and picks up his favourite, Petrushka, a hand puppet that shares his name. The puppet comes to life and becomes an outspoken alter ego. Petya faces a difficult struggle with this new companion, who pushes him to overcome his weaknesses and become a real man.
