About the film
What it’s about
Kim Mi-ra’s nine-year-old son Dong-myeong collapses and is diagnosed with Type-1 diabetes. The daily blood tests are painful, so Mi-ra searches for a device that can measure glucose without needles. She finds DexCom, not yet available in Korea, and begins importing it. Her effort to help her own child grows as she starts assisting other mothers in the same situation. Then she is accused of illegal import and must decide how far to go.
