What it’s about

Raju, grandson of a once-wealthy landowner, inherits only the family name after his grandfather squanders the fortune. To keep up appearances in his village, he pretends to be rich. Humiliated at a friend's lavish wedding, he decides to marry a wealthy heiress to restore his status. At a village fair, he meets Charulata and launches Operation Charulata with the help of his loyal assistant and friends. The plan succeeds and they marry, but on their wedding night a letter reveals that Charulata is not who she seemed. Now the couple must decide whether to end their marriage built on lies or face reality together.
