What it’s about

In 15th-century England, Anne lives with her domineering mother-in-law Morwen in a remote village, waiting for her husband to return from war. When his friend Jago brings news that he was killed by bandits, the two women are left with nothing. To survive, they begin robbing and killing travelers. Morwen grows more ruthless with each crime, while Anne longs to escape but fears her mother-in-law. The appearance of a mysterious knight at the forest's edge sets off a chain of events that will lead to a terrifying outcome.

What hooks you

Sophie Turner and Kit Harington, known for their long-running sibling roles in "Game of Thrones," reunite here as Anne and Jago. Turner found filming their kissing scenes uncomfortable because of that history. The film is directed by Natasha Kermani, who also wrote the screenplay.
