What it’s about

Bebo and his brother live in public housing on the Puerto Rican coast, making a living from fishing. Desperation pushes them toward illegal work that seems to promise quick cash. When a job ends in bloodshed, Bebo runs away with Lola, a rich girl who is also fleeing her own difficult life. They hide deep in the mountains, where they find traces of an older, disappearing world. But the violence follows them, and hitmen are soon on their trail. Bebo must face what he has done and ask himself whether he can be redeemed or whether the sea will be their only way out.
