Ahmed Malek Mostafa (born September 29, 1995) is an Egyptian actor. His first casting came at the age of eight, when his uncle brought him to a commercial shoot. In 2005, Malek got his first role in the TV series "Ayamna El Helwa" (Our Good Days). Several years later, he played a small role in "Mafish Faida" with Mostafa Amar and Basma. Shortly after, executive director Osama Farid offered Malek the role of young Hassan al-Banna, founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, in the TV series "El-Gamaa" (2010) ("The Brotherhood"), which is considered the first breakthrough role of the then 15-year-old actor.

After the 2011 Egyptian revolution, Malek briefly disappeared, as he decided to focus on political and revolutionary activism. When director Gamal Abdel Hamid offered him the role of a young Egyptian revolutionary activist in the TV series "Al-Shawarea Al-Hafya" ("The Backstreets") — featuring famous actors Gamal Soliman, Leila Olwi, Sami El-Adl, and Gihan Fadel — he could not refuse.

In 2012, director Mohamed Sami offered Malek the role of Ahmed, a stuttering teenage drug addict, in his series "Maa Sabk Al-Asrar" (2012). Thanks to his newfound success in that role, Sami cast Malek as a troubled teenager in his new TV series "Hekayet Hayah" (2013), for which he received the DG Award for Best Young Actor in 2013. Seeing Malek's impressive performance, renowned Egyptian director Sherif Arafa offered him the chance to audition for a key role in the long-awaited sequel to his film "El Gezira" (2007). The sequel "The Island 2" (2014) brought Malek regional fame in the Middle East, after which he became one of the most successful and sought-after Egyptian actors of his generation. He later gained international recognition for roles in critically acclaimed films such as "Clash" (2016), "Sheikh Jackson" (2017), and "Leil Khargi" (2018) — all of which were selected to represent Egypt at international film festivals and in awards cycles.
