Aleksandar Kostic is a Serbian-born director working in New York; his work explores perception, memory, consciousness, and the unseen forces that shape human experience. Blending science fiction, mysticism, psychology, and social satire, his films make viewers reflect on the boundaries between reality and imagination.

His award-winning feature film CAPIO received the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Speculative Fiction at the Queens World Film Festival and earned a 9.5/10 rating from Film Threat. His experimental film "The Persistence of Memory," with original music by Joan La Barbara, was presented at the opening of the MaerzMusik festival in Berlin as part of the Cage and Consequences program, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of John Cage's birth.

Kostic's work has been noted by The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and The Hollywood Reporter, and has also been shown at international festivals and institutions, including the PÖFF Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, the Museum of the Moving Image, the Queens World Film Festival, the Philip K.
