Ali Asgari (born July 25, 1982, Tehran) is an Iranian director, screenwriter, and producer. He studied cinema in Italy and is a graduate of the 2013 Berlinale Talent Campus program. His short films have been screened at more than 600 film festivals around the world, including Sundance, London, and Melbourne, and have received more than 150 international awards.

His feature film Disappearance was developed as part of the Cinéfondation La Résidence program of the Cannes International Film Festival. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
