Biography
Angella Dravid is a New Zealand stand-up comedian, screenwriter and actress. She is of Samoan-Indian descent and has lived in Oman, Australia, the United Kingdom and New Zealand. She first came to an open mic night to cope with work-related anxiety from dealing with clients and with her fear of public speaking, and continued doing stand-up after successful performances. In 2017 she decided to go into show business and possibly write a drama or series based on her experience; having made that decision, she turned her thoughts about being in an abusive relationship into a show called "Down the Rabbit Hole", which was performed at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival (NZICF).
For her performance, Dravid received the 2017 Billy T Award, an award that recognises emerging comedy performers.
