Arseniy Popov is a Russian actor and comedian, a member of the new comedy show Improvisation and an actor at the Crazy Improvisation Theatre. Arseniy Popov was born and grew up in the city of Omsk, RSFSR, USSR. After school he enrolled in the economics faculty of one of the city's universities, but quickly realised he had chosen the wrong profession. Arseniy withdrew his documents and enrolled at Omsk State University, in the faculty of culture and arts, where he specialised as a drama actor. One day Arseniy Popov attended a performance of an improvisation theatre.

He was struck by this kind of art, in which the actors create a performance directly before the audience's eyes, without any preliminary preparations or script. The artist set himself the goal of moving from the audience seat to the stage of such a show in the shortest possible time. Over the course of a year Popov attended rehearsals of the Crazy Improvisation Theatre troupe and managed to prove his worth to the project's leaders. Together with Sergey Matvienko and Anton Zakharyin he managed to create one of the best improvisation shows in Saint Petersburg.
