Egyptian actor born in Shubra. He graduated from the Faculty of Commerce at Ain Shams University, then from the Higher Institute of Performing Arts. He began acting as a child and performed in numerous plays with the theater troupe of the Faculty of Commerce and with many other amateur groups. He participated in about 80 plays between 1979 and 1984. He was noticed by director Hany Metawie in the play "Rosewood" (1986). Among his well-known plays are "Ballo Ballo" (1995) and "Return My Loan" (1999).

He also appeared in many TV series, including "The Life of a Modern Husband" (2003) and the sitcom "One Man, Six Women" (2007–2016). Raafat El Mehy brought him to the big screen in the film "Hodgepodge" (1988), after which he appeared in many films, including "Divorce from a Man" (2005), "A Generous Gesture" (2001), and "Terrorism and Kebab" (1992).
