Biography

Asia Aria Anna Maria Vittoria Rossa Argento (Italian: Asia Aria Anna Maria Vittoria Rossa Argento; born September 20, 1975) is an Italian actress, film director, screenwriter, writer and singer.

She is the daughter of Italian film director Dario Argento and actress Daria Nicolodi.

At birth she was registered under the name Aria, since the legislation in force did not allow the use of geographical names as personal names. After the law was changed in 1980, the name "Asia" spread throughout Italy.

Argento is the half-sister of actress and fashion designer Fiorella Fiore, born in 1970 from her father's previous marriage to Marisa Casale. Besides Fiore, she had another half-sister, Anna Ceroli Nicolodi, born in 1972 from her mother's relationship with sculptor Mario Ceroli, who died in 1994 in a car accident.
