Biography

Axel Stein is a German actor, comedian, and voice actor.

As early as the age of twelve, Axel Stein played several minor roles in television series and appeared in German commercials for Digimon virtual pets, similar to Tamagotchi. His television career began in 1998 with the series "Hausmeister Krause." In 2000, he played his first leading role in a feature film — in Marc Rothemund's comedy "Harte Jungs."

In 2001 and 2002, Stein appeared as a guest in German television series such as "Der Ermittler" and "SK Kölsch," and also appeared in television films and feature films, including "Schule," "Klasse 99," "Feuer, Eis und Dosenbier," and "Harte Jungs 2." During this same period, he released his first original comedy series for television — "Axel!". In 2003, the series was reworked and subsequently aired under the title "Axel! Will es wissen." This was followed by other roles in feature films such as "Barfuss" (2005) and "7 Zwerge — Der Wald ist nicht genug" (2006). In 2007, he appeared in the film "Kein Bund fürs Leben."

Stein regularly appeared in variety shows and at events hosted by his colleagues, such as Stefan Raab. In 2011, he joined the new cast of the Sat.1 program "Die Wochenshow." From February 2013, he played the leading role in the action-comedy "Turbo & Tacho" — a spin-off of the popular series "Alarm für Cobra 11 — Die Autobahnpolizei" — in which he had previously appeared twice in the same character. "Turbo & Tacho" served as a pilot film for a separate television series; however, due to a lack of audience response, the series was never produced.
