Ben Wheatley (born 1972) is an English director, editor, and animator. After starting his career in advertising, Wheatley first gained recognition and praise for his commercials and short films, then moved on to feature films and television programs. He is best known for his work in the thriller and horror genres, and his films often contain pronounced elements of black comedy and satire.

Wheatley has received numerous awards for his work, including an Evening Standard British Film Award, five nominations for a British Independent Film Award, and numerous awards and honors from film festivals, including South by Southwest, Karlovy Vary, Mar del Plata, Raindance, Toronto, and Cannes.
