Robert Patrick "Bob" Gunton Jr. (born November 15, 1945) is an American actor. He is known for playing strict, authoritarian characters; his most famous roles include prison warden Samuel Norton in the prison film The Shawshank Redemption (1994), Chief George Earle in the film Demolition Man (1993), and President Juan Perón in the original Broadway cast of the musical Evita.
