Oliver Burgess Meredith was an American actor, director, screenwriter, and producer, best known for his role as Mickey Goldmill (Rocky Balboa's trainer) in the film Rocky and its sequels (parts II, III, and Rocky V); he also played the Penguin in the television series Batman (1966-1968). He was a two-time Saturn Award winner in the Best Supporting Actor category (in 1979 for his role as Ben Greene in the film Magic and in 1982 for his role as Ammon in the film Clash of the Titans).

He was twice nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor, in 1976 for his role as Harry Greener in the film The Day of the Locust and in 1977 for his role as Mickey Goldmill in the film Rocky.
