Choi Jin-hyuk is one of the most popular South Korean actors working today. Born as Kim Tae-ho on February 9, 1986, Choi Jin-hyuk broke into the entertainment industry in 2006 after winning the grand prize on the talent reality show "Survival Star Audition." He took his stage name in 2010 before his role in the drama "It's Okay, Daddy's Daughter." He also appeared in "I Need Romance" (2011) and "Panda and Hedgehog" (2012), but it was his memorable roles as the fierce god-spirit in the drama "The Gu Family Book" and the sullen chaebol in "The Heirs" in 2013 that elevated Choi Jin-hyuk to superstardom.

Leading roles quickly followed, starting in 2014, with the popular dramas "Emergency Couple," "Flower Grandpa Investigation Unit," "Fated to Love You," and "Pride and Prejudice." In March 2015, Choi Jin-hyuk was enlisted for mandatory military service, and he returned after his discharge in the 2017 drama "Tunnel."
