Daniel Auteuil (born 24 January 1950) is a French actor. The lead role in the film Jean de Florette brought him international recognition, and since then he has become one of the most famous, highly paid and popular actors in France. Thanks to films such as Hidden, My Best Friend, The Hunchback and After You..., he gained even greater international recognition.
