Biography
Elena Yuryevna Ksenofontova was born on December 17, 1972 in the city of Khromtau, Kazakhstan. She grew up in the Moscow region, near Serpukhov. In her youth she was seriously involved in athletics (she ran the 400 and 800 meters). In 1998 she graduated from VGIK (Marlen Khutsiev's course, Iosif Raikhelgauz's acting group). In her first year at the institute she was accepted into the troupe of the Theater "School of Modern Play" (artistic director of the theater — Iosif Raikhelgauz) (she played Nina Zarechnaya, Dulcinea del Toboso). After graduating from the institute, six Moscow theaters invited her, but she stayed with Raikhelgauz.
In 1999-2013 she was an actress at the Moscow Drama Theater under the direction of Armen Dzhigarkhanyan. She works in theaters: Kvartet I, Aktivny Teatr, La Teatr.
Honored Artist of Russia (2006).
