Biography
Emma Samms is a British actress best known for her roles in the television series Dynasty, Dynasty 2: The Colbys, and General Hospital. Emma Samuelson was born in London, England. Her mother was a ballet dancer, and her father owned a film distribution company[1]. She enrolled at the Royal Ballet School but left at the age of fifteen due to a hip injury. Afterwards she decided to become an actress and changed her name to Emma Samms, as there was already an actress named Emma Samuelson in England. Emma Samms made her debut in 1979 in the film Arabian Adventure, and later appeared in Waiting for Goliath. In 1982 she was cast as Holly Sutton Scorpio in the daytime soap opera General Hospital. She left it in 1985 when she was offered the role of Fallon Carrington Colby in the prime-time soap opera Dynasty, after Pamela Sue Martin, who had previously played the role, decided to leave the show.
Samms played her role for two seasons in the Dynasty spin-off The Colbys, and after it was cancelled in 1987 she returned to the original series, where she remained until the finale in 1989. In 1991 she appeared in the miniseries Dynasty: The Reunion. Meanwhile, she appeared in several films that were not successful, such as Shrimp on the Barbie, The Lady and the Highwayman, Murder in Three Acts (1986) with Tony Curtis and Peter Ustinov, Delirious, as well as in the series Models Inc. in 1994-1995. In 2012 she briefly returned to her role in the soap opera General Hospital.
