As an actor, Evan has appeared in lead or supporting roles in various film and television projects, including "Down and Out in Beverly Hills" and the television series "The Excellent Adventures of Bill and Ted." As a filmmaker, Evan's short film "Woman X" was shortlisted for a BAFTA award and was shown on HBO and Starz. His other short film, which he wrote and starred in, "On Cloud Nine," was a finalist in the Skky Vodka Short Film Festival and was shown on HBO. His debut feature film as writer / director, "One Day," was shown at numerous festivals and received various awards. After its Los Angeles run, "One Day" was acquired for distribution by IFC Films. It was also sold to various countries around the world.

"One Day" was also shown on Sundance and Netflix. It is currently available for purchase (DVD) or viewing through Amazon, iTunes, and other online platforms.

His latest film projects as writer / director: the short film "Monster Behind You," which was shown at the Telluride Horror Show Film Festival and won Best Horror Short at the Oregon Scream Week Film Festival. Also as writer / director, the short film "Two People, One Ring," which was shown at the CineKink Film Festival in New York, was nominated for Best Short Film at the British Independent Film Festival, and was nominated for Best Actress at the Portland Comedy Film Festival. These two short films premiered on the ShortsTV channel in 2020.
