Gary Beadle (born 8 July 1965) is a British actor. Beadle grew up in Bermondsey, South London, in a family of five children, where he was baptised as a Catholic. As a child, he and his older brother Ricky staged a version of the 1976 youth gangster musical "Bugsy Malone" for the London Borough of Southwark Council. Ricky was the director, and played Tallulah, while Gary played the janitor Fizzy. Ricky tried to invite the director of the original film, Alan Parker, to the performance, but his assistant came instead, and she used her connections to get Ricky, Gary and their younger sister into the Anna Scher public theatre school. After an interest in hip-hop, especially Run-D.M.C. and the Sugarhill Gang, Beadle moved to New York at around the age of twenty. On returning to London under the pseudonym "Pretty Boy Gee", he and "Little Stevie Bee" formed the rap group The City Limits Crew. In 1985 the duo released two 12-inch singles, "Keep It On" (with "The Mutant Rockers") and "Fresher Than Ever", on the independent label Survival Records. That same year the group recorded a session on BBC Radio 1 for John Peel and performed at Electro Rock, an international hip-hop event at the Hippodrome.

He also worked as a comedian, but began working as an actor and appeared in "The Young Ones" (BBC 1984); the 1986 film "Absolute Beginners"; "Jerusalem", a 1987 short film with the pop group Style Council; "Making Out" in 1989–91 as Simon; the BBC sitcom "Absolutely Fabulous", where he played Justin, the gay lover of Eddie's ex-husband (Jennifer Saunders); the television series "Born to Run" in 1997; the ITV police drama "The Bill" and the BBC medical drama "Casualty" (2001). In 2001 he began playing the role of Paul Trueman in "EastEnders". A charming rogue, Beadle left the role when his contract was due to end — because he did not like that the director and writers wanted to make his character a drug dealer. So he left the show, and his departure was accompanied by the murder of his character by his gangster boss Andy Hunter (Michael Higgs). In 2007 he appeared in the BBC Three comedy "Thieves Like Us". In 2008 he appeared in the 2nd season of "The Sarah Jane Adventures" as Paul, Clyde Langer's father. In 2009 he appeared in "Malice in Wonderland" as DJ Felix Chester, an allusion to the Cheshire Cat. In 2010 he appeared in Roy Williams's play "Sucker Punch" at the Royal Court Theatre. In 2012 he appeared in "Hustle" as a police officer. In 2015 he played Docker in the BBC One drama "The Interceptor", and also appeared in Ron Howard's film "In the Heart of the Sea", released in December 2015. In 2016 he played the role of Abioseh, a former tribesman, in the Royal National Theatre production of "Les Blancs". He also appeared as a senior criminal investigation department inspector in one episode of "Silent Witness".
