Hassan Fathi was born on September 2, 1959, in Tehran (Persian: حسن فتحی) — an Iranian director and screenwriter of cinema and television series. He is best known for popular television series such as "Heroes Never Die," "Lighter Than Darkness," and "Turn at Zero Degrees." He is the father of Amirhossein Fathi, a young actor.

He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Shahid Beheshti University and a master's degree in directing from Islamic Azad University in Tehran.[2] Fathi is a creative playwright and psychologist. He began his creative activity by acting in student theater. However, he began his professional activity and entry into the world of art in 1989, writing critical articles about theater and cinema in magazines such as Soroush, Tamashakhaneh, Donyayetassvir, and Namayesh, as well as engaging in theatrical playwriting and directing. In this sense, he can also be considered a researcher of art and cinema. Since 1993, he came to television and began making television series, and in 2004 he joined the directors of Iranian cinema, making the film "Iranian Marriage." Fathi also teaches as a professor at various universities and is currently the head of educational programs at the Karname Institute of Art and Culture.[3] Fathi created two major series in Iran — "Turn at Zero Degrees" and "Shahrzad." The television series "Hamsayeha," "Pahlevanan nemimirand," "Farad dir ast," "Shabe dahom," "Mive Mamnooe," "Lighter Than Darkness," "Tears and Smiles," and "Dar masire zayandeh rood," as well as the teleplays "Murder Mystery," "Mousetrap," and the television film "The Manuscript" — are the result of 18 years of continuous activity by Hassan Fathi in the field of television programs.
