Joanne studied at York University as well as the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts. Her first film role was in Emilio Estevez's "The Mitchell Brothers," after which she appeared in various film and television projects, including a 2.5-year run on "Train 48," an improvised daily drama. She lives in Toronto with her husband Dylan and son Cayden. She also plays in the band "The Elastocitizens."
