John Rey Malto is a Filipino talent manager and songwriter, born on October 22, 1991 in Manila, Philippines. His path to success began in an academic environment. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, and then continued his studies in pedagogical disciplines at Don Mariano Marcos University in the city of San Fernando, La Union province. His passion for learning led him to complete professional courses in photography at Lorma Colleges and in event organizing at Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe University. He also began graduate studies in development management with a focus on public administration, but did not complete the program.

In 2019, John Rey was recognized at a film lecture during a basic acting workshop in the Cordillera Administrative Region, organized by the Department of Education in Bangued, Abra. He was recognized for his expertise in photography and his willingness to share his skills with others.

In the following years, John Rey's reputation continued to grow. In 2021, he received the Golden Star Award for "outstanding contribution to the entertainment industry and dedicated public service" from ATC International. The following year, on October 8, 2022, he was named "Most Outstanding Talent Manager and Inspiring Artist Manager of the Year" at the Manila Grand Opera Hotel & Casino by the Alliance of Filipino Hospitality and Tourism Business Organizers.

In January 2023, John Rey Malto worked on two major international films — "Spring in Prague" and "Mariana's Web." In "Spring in Prague," he served as casting director and talent manager, and in "Mariana's Web," he was part of the casting department. Both films demonstrated his versatility and growing influence in the entertainment industry.
