Biography
Born in France to a Polish family. Julia Kowalski's films explore her relationship with her country of origin, continually honing her favorite themes: adolescence, family, sexuality, and the working class. "I Saw the Face of the Devil" is the result of research conducted for her second feature film, which is currently in pre-production — a mystical liberation of a young woman struggling with her monstrous desire.
