Biography

Julia O'Hara Stiles (born March 28, 1981) is an American actress. After starting her career with small roles in a New York theater company, she moved on to leading roles in plays by authors as varied as William Shakespeare and David Mamet. Her film career has included both commercial and critically acclaimed successes—from teen romantic comedies such as 10 Things I Hate About You (1999) to dark arthouse films such as The Business of Strangers (2001).

She is known for her supporting role as Nicky Parsons in the Jason Bourne film series, her leading role in Save the Last Dance, and her role in Mona Lisa Smile. She appeared as a guest star in the role of Lumen Pierce in the fifth season of the Showtime series Dexter, for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award.
