Koji Fukada (深田 晃司, born 1980) is a Japanese film director and screenwriter.

He was born in Tokyo. His father was a film enthusiast, and as a child Fukada watched many films on VHS. At the age of 19, while studying at Taisho University, he learned about the Tokyo Film School and began attending evening classes in film production. One of his teachers was Kiyoshi Kurosawa. He made his first feature film, The Chair, in 2002. In 2005, he joined the theater company Seinendan under the direction of Oriza Hirata and often used their works and actors in his films.

His film Hospitalité won the Best Film award in the Japanese Eyes competition at the Tokyo International Film Festival in 2010. Au revoir l'été won the Grand Prix and the Young Jury Award at the Three Continents Festival in 2013, and his 2016 film Harmonium won the Jury Prize in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival.
